Ruth Moloney Strollers Bull Wall

The series of bathing shelters located along the bull wall provide both an iconic view of Dublin Bay and a stunning compliment of colour with their warm pale yellow against the cool sea blues and grays. The series of concrete structures, dotted along the promenade are home to bathers looking for a little coverage and also to strollers who enjoy a little pit-stop to absorb the stunning views. They came in to their own during the pandemic when swimmers and non-swimmers alike flocked to the Bull looking for community, companionship and connection. Many tried sea swimming or dipping' for the first time and have never looked back. Ruth Moloney's uniquely joyous collection of Irish landscape, people and nature are warm, sentimental and nostalgic.

Her vibrant colour palette and loose style reflects the movement and beauty of her subjects while each piece tells its own story. Her fine art limited edition prints are based on her original oil paintings which have been created using the impasto palette knife technique. Each print is mounted, framed and ready to hang.
